Calling all high school artists!

High School Art Competition 2011-2012

Teachers: Use the competition as a class assignment and become eligible for a donation to your school.  Click HERE for details of the monthly assignment and the donation.

Students
Submit your best work to the Grand View University Art & Design Online High School Art Competition and become eligible to win a $5,000 renewable annual scholarship to Grand View!

Work can be in any medium, as long as it is entirely, creatively, YOURS! You can enter as often as you like, but your entries should correspond to the theme of the month.  Each month, one work will be selected to win a $250 cash prize!

October, 2011 theme: Costume
entries due October 31

November, 2011 theme: Comfort
entries due November 30

December, 2011 theme: Cooperation
entries due December 31

January, 2012 theme: Future
entries due January 31

February, 2012 theme: Music
entries due February 28

Entries will be judged on relevance to the monthly theme and creativity!

Competition judged monthly by Grand View Art & Design faculty.
Monthly winners will be notified via email a week after the deadline.
In March, one Best of Show will be selected from all entries, and the student will be awarded a $5,000 scholarship to major in Art & Design at Grand View.

Competition Requirements: Entrants must currently be enrolled in high school. All work must be entirely original and copyright free.  All work must be submitted using the official entry form. Decisions on winning entries will be made by professional art and design faculty at Grand View and are final.  Winning entries will be posted on this website.  By entering the contest, the student gives Grand View permission to use the entry in marketing materials.  The Best of Show scholarship winner must apply to Grand View, meet all criteria for admission, be admitted, and enroll at the University.  No monetary award will be made in lieu of the scholarship.
