Hey everyone!

 

Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve gotten back to the blogging. I have had some crazy weeks of fun. Let me recap it all for you.

 

We had our first freshman registration day. As a View Crew member, we spent all day Friday setting up tables and signs to help Saturday run smooth for students and family members. It was so great to see all the new faces that will be joining me here next year. I hope that I’ll have some of you in my View Crew group, and we’ll be able to talk at your registration!

 

I also just competed for the title of Ms. Grand View. The contest was so fun! There was 4 girls and 5 guys that were nominated to compete for the crown. The winner had their choice between 2 skydiving tickets, 2 hot air balloon tickets, or $200 cash. Will I won, and took the money!!! There was a $10 outfit round where The Student Activities Council gives you $10 and has you purchase a funny outfit to model. The next round was a stupid human trick, next was a karaoke round where I rapped to Air Force Ones by Nelly. The last round was only the top two contestants and they had to answer trivia questions. I won, and it was super exciting!

 

Just this past weekend I went on two different retreats for Student Leadership Organizations. It was such a blast! I got to meet new people, and stay in a nice hotel. I hope you guys take advantage of all the events we are planning for next year. I know that RHA and SAC are planning tons of fun events already!

 

This week was finals week, and they went so much better than I thought. I find it easier to study a little bit at a time, and take some breaks to relax. Yesterday was my last final, and I’ll be moving out of the dorms tomorrow. I love that Grand View gives you such a long summer vacation! It is really sad to see everyone moving back home though. Even the parking lots are empty. I can’t wait until the dorms are full again in the fall!
