New Student Programs
We care about getting you off on the right foot, from the minute you arrive on campus. That’s why we have a variety of programs designed to make you feel at home from your very first day, help you connect with other new students, and get you involved in campus life right from the start. Connection and involvement are fun, but they’re also important to your academic success, because you’ll develop a support system that will help you succeed.
Freshman Registration
At freshman registration you will meet your academic advisor, register for classes, meet other GV students, and hear about housing, athletics, and on-campus employment.
New Student Days
New Student Days are an experience designed to provide a warm welcome and introduce new students to the Grand View community, people, and resources.
Transfer Orientation
Transfer Orientation is offered for new full-time students transferring during the fall semester. At Transfer Orientation, you'll learn about the many resources available for you on campus and take care of your school-related business in one night.
Learning Communities
Learning Communities stress academic success and help students develop a sense of community through small groups of 10 to 20 students with similar academic interests.
